Cornbellys!

One of my favorite places we have discovered since moving to Utah is Cornbellys in the fall! Its basically a giant playland for kids. This year I was in charge of booking our preschool group for the day. I talked Chad into going and we gathered the 20+ kids and 14 adults who were in our group and took off to have fun! (Carter thought that waiting for everyone to show up was torture!

I talked Chad into working half a day and coming to play with us! He got picked to be a part of the pig races.

And the favorite of the day...the corn beach! Even Brielle and her little buddie Evie got to play!

And she thought it was wonderful!

Chad had as much fun as the kids did burrying them.

I think my kids could have played on this slide all day. Carter is in the middle in the black.

This is Sheridan with her 2 girls and me with mine! Sure glad we found these ladies to be friends with!

The weather was perfect and we had such a fun wonderful day.

And we tried to capture a picture in the giant rocking chair but everyone was ready to go home so this is the best we could get.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CORNBELLYS! Can't wait until next year!

Turning the hearts

I've caught the fire! For geneology that is. My dad's side has always been non existent because we never knew my dad's dad and he died before we ever knew much about his past. I attended an enrichment on how to do family history and I learned how to search out my ancestors through ancestry.com and I was able to trace my dad's generation back 4 lines. It was so exciting and we now have so much temple work to do!

My patriarchal blessing says something about being diligent in family history work and its so neat to see those promises and blessings come to pass. I hope I can continue finding names and getting my family's work complete!

Fire Safety Month

 The fire station does a pretty cool thing every year where they let the kids come see all the fire trucks and spray their hoses and get fed lunch! The kids were so excited to go.

 It was fun watching Carter spray the hose...as you can tell he loved it

 Mollie liked it too...once she was able to pull it open. It did almost knock her over too.

And we just happened to be there when air med arrived. They landed right in front of us. I knew it would be windy but I didn't expect the giant hurricane gush of wind that would send tumbleweeds violently flying through the air and just about knock me over! It was really neat to see.This helicopters pad is right by our house so now when ever it flies over the kids yell "that was the helicopter I was in!"

Miss Bri turns 10...months that is

Our sweet little Bri turned 10 months old this month! Oh how I wish time would slow down! She is at such a fun age and is starting to figure out how to get anywhere or almost anything she wants!

 She is officially weaned now and is doing well holding her own bottle.

 She still is our best eater. She will eat more than Carter and Mollie at dinner on any night. Her current favorite is pancakes and eggs.

 We went to the park one day and she loved crunching and playing in the fall leaves. She is a sweet reminder of enjoying the simple things in life.

 And we can't forget bath time! She loves it and I'm usually pretty wet after giving her a bath. She loves to splash and chase toys around the tub. She can say a few words and they are dada, ba ba, (bottle) and gook (book) which was her first real word!

We sure love you little Brielle and can't believe in a few months we will be celebrating your 1 year mark!

Go Red Fireballs!

 We have come to an end of yet another soccer season. Carter was on the red Fireball team this year. It was mostly girls and a very young team. The team struggled a little but Carter did awesome! He scored several goals and is always running to get the ball.

 He's such a little stud when it comes to sports!

 And Brielle loved going to the games and getting to yell and squeal as loud as she wanted.

 And this is just because I found these on my camera along with several others. Carter is a goof but he keeps entertainment in our lives! I'm so proud of how hard he works at sports, at school, and in our family!

Mollie's 4!

 Miss Mollie turned 4 on Oct 5th! Can't believe she is getting so big! She wanted a frozen party in all its glory and that is just what she got. I was really worried about doing decorations because I didn't want to buy alot but once I realized my christmas decorations were the right color I was relieved!

While I set things up Brielle sported a crown and chewed on a carrot.

 And I may or may not have fed her some jello.....

 As her friends arrived they were invited to build a snowman in the kitchen with some sparkly playdough.
Then we had a coronation day and crowned each girl.
 And what would a frozen party be if you didn't jam out to Let It Go?!

 Pin the nose on Olaf was next....and then Grandpa Reed blew some giant bubbles for the kids.

 

Then it was on to the food! Complete with Frozen (jello) ice cubes, Snow balls (white doughnuts), Olaf's nose (carrots) Snowflakes (chocolate dipped pretzels), And magic wands (Chocolate dipped marshmallows) and frozen punch with heart Ice cubes.

All these little princesses were so much fun to have!

Later that evening we had a little family party with G&G Reed with pizza and presents!

 Her real birthday was on Sunday on conference weekend and so we saved one present for her birthday. A princess tent!! We watched conference with G&G Hymas who drove up that morning and then went for a quick picnic to feed the ducks and stretch our legs.

And of course you have to have a cupcake on your birthday so we sang and celebrated again on sunday. She is growing up so much and is my biggest helper. She has mastered doing her chores, writing her name, her alphabet & numbers and she is really good at making friends. She tells me about 10 times a day, "Mom, I wuv you!" Well I love you Mollie girl! You make my heart happy and I am so proud of the smart girl you have become!

A new ride just in time for a trip to Idaho!

I didn't think i would ever be able to give up our Envoy. I have absolutely loved it and it has brought home all 3 of our babies safe and sound. She was our first big purchase as a couple and taught us lots of lessons about buying a car. I still miss it often and look for it in the parking lots at stores. She will be missed!

But we replaced her with this beauty! An '07 Dodge Caravan. Chad was dead set on getting a Honda or Toyota but once we drove it we fell in love. It's leather and has all the bells and whistles.

 We took it on a test drive to Idaho the day after we got it and the room was incredible. Brielle wasn't a fan and screamed most of the way there but I sat in that empty captain seat and toasted my buns and talked to my baby. It wasnt bad at all!

We first went to Moore and Carter rode the motorcycle from sun up to sun down. He didn't even have to share with anyone. He was in heaven. He's getting pretty quick and daring on that little thing. I think he wore a path in grandpas lawn.

 When Grandma wasnt working, she and Mollie played games and colored. Mollie loved all the one on one attention she was getting too.

 

And while the kids played I worked on my new little project. I'm making and selling this little fancy nativity set out of 2x4s and selling them. I had about 20 orders to fill so I spent time in my father in laws wood shop sanding and edging away. I had lots of help and it was awesome!

 

I got an absolute kick out of these little birdies that built a nest on my in laws house. I sat and watched for a long time. there were 4 babies stuffed in the nest and the parents worked all day to bring them a tiny bit of food. When the parent would arrive they would all chirp and fight for food. Then the parent would drop food in the closest ones mouth and quickly fly away. And then silence.....until they spotted their mom or dad flying near again...chirp chirp chirpp!!!! It was humbling to see how hard the parents were working for their babies to keep them alive.

 When we were all done with our projects we went to my parents house to celebrate my moms birthday. We went out to dinner and had chocolate cake at home! Sure loved getting to be with her!

It was a wonderful weekend getting to see both of our families but not long enough as usual. I often count my blessings and when I do I am grateful i can count BOTH sides of my families as GREAT blessings in my life.
