Celebrations and Goodbyes

After the baptism we had lots of family that we invited to stay for the weekend and enjoy the 4th of July with us. We played water games in the yard and enjoyed the day watching cousins play.
It was also Clyde's birthday so we made sure to have some strawberry shortcake for him to celebrate.

It was a happy and sad thing that this would be Tony's last family activity for a while. They seriously had their Uhaul parked in my driveway and were leaving to California as soon as the festivities ended. Happy they are moving forward with their dreams, but gosh we'll miss them. It's been so enjoyable having them close for a few years.
A goodbye pic that Ididn't quite make it into! HAH!
Smiles through tears. This hurt my heart so much to say good bye. But I'm trying to think of it more as a 'see ya later.'
Jilly did not want to miss out on anything and was front and center, and on top of grandma, all weekend long!
And was always in Clyde's face because she knows who will give her treats.

Later we busted out fireworks and fought with the mosquitoes! They were so bad!

Happy 4th! We may have broke the rule and had some of the neighbors reeling for doing the fireworks a few days early. But no one called the cops on us. What can you do? I honestly didn't know this was a rule!
It was such a great weekend with lots of fun, food, love and fireworks!!!
